Poorly at Christmas time? – Top 4 homeopathic ‘flu remedies

Feeling poorly at Christmas

Are you one of the unlucky people that when you get time off, especially at Christmas time you come down with ‘flu or some other bug?

You are not alone and I know many people who are very rarely sick during the year but as soon as Christmas arrives they fall sick.  One of the reasons for this is because in the run up to Christmas we find ourselves rushing around buying presents, food, planning, collecting friends and family and trying to finish work and projects before taking time off. It is the busiest time of the year. This puts untold pressure on us and our bodies deal with this by producing stress hormones, such as adrenaline. In the short-term adrenaline can help to ward off infection but when we stop for the holiday period we start to relax, our stress hormones drop and this is when we become more susceptible to illness.

Of course not all of us will get sick when we stop and relax, especially if we have been taking care of our diet and making sure we get enough sleep and rest whenever possible, but if you have been working flat out or have been under pressure you probably won’t be surprised if you come down with something especially if that is your normal pattern.

If you do find you become sick over the holiday period it is important to listen to your body and to rest. I thought it might be helpful to share the top 4 homeopathic ‘flu remedies that will certainly help should you fall ill. They should be taken every 2 hours up to 10 doses.
