There are many homeopathic remedies that can help painful periods known as dysmenorrhea. Symptoms can vary from woman to woman and may include severe cramping, nausea, lower back pain, fatigue and anaemia due to heavy bleeding.
The menstrual cycle is actually one of the most important indicators of a woman’s overall health. Lisa Hendrickson-Jack highlights this in her book The Fifth Vital Sign, She explains that the menstrual cycle should be viewed as a vital sign, just like blood pressure, pulse or respiration. Your menstrual cycle offers valuable insight into your general wellbeing and hormonal balance.
Many of the women I support may be experiencing additional symptoms such as PMS, endometriosis or have irregular periods. Every woman’s experience is unique and that is why homeopathy can really make a difference because it is tailored to each individual. Homeopathy supports the body’s own healing response while gently restoring balance.
Self-prescribing for occasional or mild symptoms can be helpful but if your symptoms are causing you severe pain and are debilitating it is important to seek help.
