Hypnotherapy for anxiety and depression can be so effective as Kathy (not her real name) realised in a very short space of time.
Kathy contacted me for help with anxiety and depression. She was in a very low mood and as she spoke she kept bursting into tears. She told me that anxiety was having a huge impact on every aspect of her life.
She didn’t want to wake up, go to work and she didn't feel like socialising. She had even stayed at home instead of going on a family holiday because she had been feeling too anxious.
After Kathy's free call she decided to book 4 sessions of hypnotherapy.
Her transformation over such a short period of time was really incredible and satisfying to see. I asked her what she wanted and in her words she said “I want to feel like me again, this isn’t me”.
When I met Kathy she was wearing black. This reflected her mood and exactly how she was feeling.
During Kathy’s first session, she was feeling really down and slightly nervous because she didn’t know what to expect. I immediately put her at ease and she began to relax into the whole process of hypnotherapy. After her first session, I made a short recording for Kathy to listen to until I saw her again one week later.
The next time I saw her she told me she had felt much brighter. She had been going for a walk each morning and was beginning to feel more positive and keen to start each day.
As our work continued together, I noticed she was smiling more. She was wearing brighter coloured clothes. She also told me she was going to have her hair and nails done later that day. This was a huge step forward and something she didn’t think would ever have been possible a few weeks ago.
Ten days later I saw Kathy for her last session. She had continued to make brilliant progress and was taking positive steps. She told me that:-
- She had driven her car on her own, listening and singing along to the radio.
- She had been out socialising with friends.
She was feeling so much happier and was looking forward to returning to work.
The best part of all was her family had noticed a massive imporement and they are all looking forward to planning their next holiday together.
As our work had come to an end Kathy was a little bit concerned that she might go back to how she had been. I gently reassured her that it wasn’t possible because of all the work we had done together during the last four weeks. I explained that hypnotherapy had helped to rewire her neural pathways. She would continue to be able to tap into those happy feel good feelings.
I had also given Kathy some toold and techniques that she could continue to use if she felt she was slipping.
This is what Kathy had to say about the whole process of working with me:-
"It's incredible how different I feel and I cannot thank you enough".
It is important to remember that in life we will have ups and downs but it is how we cope with them that matters and sometimes we need a little bit of help to do that.
